2012 is HERE, and the New is All kinda crazy!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! I'm now in our new house and getting everything unpacked, and getting ready for the year from hell. Why the year from hell? Well I have recently moved, So there is that, As well as AAD, Audra having another baby (A girl!) and I'm getting married in October! Busy as hell year I will tell you!

There obviously is going to be a ton of writing happening, and some new work as well as re releases! First, All the Eververse series and Dragon Elementals books will be re released via print starting in Feb, with new editing and new covers! So? Shall I show you the pretties that are the new covers?

And... We finally have a new cover for the 3rd in the Dragon Elementals series, which will be out later this year:

We love it, and as you can see, it has a new name.

And did I mention we have a new website design? We do! Quite happy about it.

And... I understand the Duvall Inc. series will be coming out soon... details to come!

Breaking Silence: Help! Seriously, HELP!

So yesterday, I lost my engagement ring at the palisades mall. And of course, whoever found it didn't event bother to bring it to the management,or the security office. I normally think horrible things about people in general because everyone is usually out for themselves, and it looks like I was right. Whoever it was that took my ring, I hope they die a painful, scabies filled death as their fucking fingers and toes fall off.

I'm a good person. Had I found a ring I would have turned it in, mean its a sapphire engagement ring, its not gold, or diamonds, someone specific obviously loved it... right? Well apparently the person that took it is a total asshat and they need to be run over by a fucking train or something else of that sort.

So anyway, this is where you come in. I need to buy myself another engagement ring, and as much as it sucks to do that, at least I know I wasn't doing it originally. So in order to do that, we need book sales. I don't care if you buy a print book and burn it or use it to wipe your ass. I don't care if you buy an e copy and never read it, just please help me out with this...

Almost all our books are available at Amazon, Kindle(except the dragons) and ARe (both Stella and Audra Price books and Dagmar Avery Books) My hope is to be able to repurchase my engagement ring in March when I get my next bout of royalties, which, sadly would have went to other wedding things like jewelry for the wedding party, and securing the DJ... but sacrifices will be made, because that ring really was the ring of my dreams and it just doesn't seem right to get married in October without it.

So please, pick up some of our books, help a girl out will ya?

Just needed to stop by and mention something.

Please do not buy our book The Soft Edge of Midnight from any retailers or from the publisher site, Siren/ Bookstrand. We have a year left on the contract and apparently they feel that 129 copies of the book sold in 4 years is average, and wont be giving us our rights back. Hell you couldnt even FIND the book on their site all of 2009 without doing some creative naming (and no, when you put our name in on there, it didnt come up, nor was it listed under paranormal.) We made 8$ last quarter, and really, it would be more beneficial to everyone, especially them, to let the book go, as it would save them time if they didnt have to send us a statement.

But I guess they dont see it that way, which is their prerogative. And its mine to tell my readers to forget it even exists. Thanks so much everyone, hopefully when the contract is up it will be new and fresh to everyone!

Going to be taking a break for a while, so this blog won’t be updated till morale improves. I have reached a breaking point that I can no longer ignore without real issues with health (both mental and physical) and straining relationships with friends and coworkers.

Suffice to say this decision didn’t come lightly, but with the daily reminders of things that I cannot change or help, it’s probably better if this all just fades into the background until something good happens. Something I don’t see coming any time soon.

I’m hoping that 2012 will be a better year. The New Year will bring severe changes, babies, new homes and a wedding… and maybe other things will follow suit in the realm of good things happening for us.

Well I'm back in NY, and settled in as much as can be at this point, so I figured I would announce all the awesome that has happened in the last few weeks...

First... Audra is pregnant again! She is due in April, and shes hoping for another boy!

Second... Joseph and I bought a house in SC! Its a really nice house, perfect for the first we will own together. I love it, and We move in in January.

Two great things right? 2012 is going to be INSANE. Moving, Another baby in the family, the convention and a wedding... I don't think we will be able to stand all the awesome that is to be had.

Now, on the writing front... we have some news as well... well I do. As Dagmar, Ill be featured in a steamypunk anthology later this year (i believe). The story is about a a painter that is painting all the ladies of the new aristocracy... but why and what setting hes painting them... well that's what you have to read the story for. I loved writing it, and I told my agent that there's three more stories to come from that setting, so she was super excited about that.

And guess what else? I have a new writing partner... The two of us have written several stories with the dark court of fae involved and the first of the stories will be available this halloween with Ravenous Romance. Right now its titled Antebellum, but that could change. We will post about it soon enough!

And it looks like The Djinn will have a new home for the holidays! Wishes, Glamour and Gifts have all had an overhaul, a title change and a better edit, and will be coming out later this year for the holiday season. Ill have all the information along with new covers soon so stay tuned!

Now for something NOT so fun...

All our Tease Publishing Print books will be down off Amazon in January. This is because we are switching over to create space (because without borders we dont need the distribution angle, especially because BN doesnt give two shits about small press) but it might take a bit to get it out there... So if you wanted our books as is, PLEASE pop by Amazon and ORDER them... it would make out holidays that much more awesome and you will be getting the last of that edition.

Also, if you haven't yet, and have read our books, PLEASE stop by Amazon and REVIEW the works. I don't know if readers know how much reviews on Amazon mean to an authors sales, but they really do help. Good, bad, whatever... Please go and have your say on the book listing...

Last day in SC...

So I'm finally coming up for air while on vacay to post. It has been the busiest vacation I have ever had, and that's a damn good thing. We managed to hit Savannah and see the hotels for AAD 2013, so now its just a question of who gets the bid. they were all faboo, and everyone was super nice, I wish i could pick them all, but Sadly (and sorta not sadly) AAD will never be DragonCon size... So that's out.

I leave tomorrow in the AM for NY and normal life once again, maybe with some new surprises and such. It was good to get away, even if I didn't do much relaxing while here. I'll hopefully have some great news coming up, so stay tuned... LOL.

So today is some writing that needs to be done, or my agent will beat me senseless, some art that needs done for clients and then (blessedly) shopping at Coligny! YAY! I can finally finish shopping!

Sorry I haven't been posting here as much as I want to, but Stella is busy busy busy these days!

Its almost September, and I'm gearing up to leave on Wed for ATL and DRAGONCON for a week, so excited to be going this year, and hanging out with Joanna and Carol and Jess. I haven't seen the girls in ages, literally AGES. Its been too long and we are going to tear shit up. Oh and I'm on the WriteSEX panel friday night at 10pm... So if your going stop by and see me.

Then I come home and hangout for three days, which will give me just enough time to do laundry and repack, because I leave on the 9th to drive south to South Carolina for a week with the in-laws. So excited that Brandi will be coming this time, so we can hangout, hot tub and drink a lot. I need some time to relax and just read and write with Audra and that's what I'm hoping I will be able to do.

AAD2012's registration opens on the 6th, so I'm trying to get all the clerical done for when I'm away so we wont have to worry about it either way. I know everyone is seriously excited about NOLA (I am too) so i cant wait to get the ball rolling.

And while I'm in Hilton Head, I'll be checking out the Savannah properties for the 2013 con. I'll be posting about it, along with pictures, on the AAD blog when I'm down there.

Ok so first... Something I'm very happy about... Stella will soon be a Sadie.

Ah whats a Sadie? A Sadie is a married lady, or so says Babs Streisand in Funny girl. Yes, We are engaged, Jojo and I! HE did it at 154am on Sunday morning in out hotel room during the chaos that is aad and I love love love my ring. We have set a date so far for October 2012, but we will see if that changes....

So AAD is now over and I'm sitting here still reeling. So much happened, I have NO IDEA where to start. Dinners went well, I won a Bookie award for the Biggest friend to Romance, though I dont know HOW that happened, like AT ALL. Whoever voted for me, thank you, It was a total surprise.

I got a new tattoo, which I will show off soon as its not crusty with grossness. What did I get? I got Cash's house brand on my wrist. Or maybe its Dimitri's... I dont know it is the royal brand of the Conglacio though. yes. Finally.

The Booksigning went really well, Which surprised me. I had someone come and see me, Which surprised the hell outta me. So thank you Caitlyn, You totally made my day! Most people dont realize this but as a small press author that isn't with one of the more popular houses, meeting fans that arent just reviewers that get your books for free is a HUGE deal! it made the entire event worth it for me (especially since she reads this blog!)

We raised $2186 for Pets Alive this year, Which I thank everyone for! We had some Amazing baskets this year and I know everyone that won them got some great stuff. Sadly, third year in a row I didnt win anything, but its for charity and it was all in good fun.

We had a fabulous cake for Larissa Ione as well this year, and it was yummy! I dont know who had some but it was good...

OOh and The winner of the Registration for NOLA is Joy Daniels. This year I decided to do something different for my big gift, and since I can, I decided I would give away a registration for NOLA to someone that bought a book from me this year. After the signing I picked a winner from who bought books... and Joy won.

hey everyone!

Well I'm leaving in about an hour to leave for the 3 hour trek to Philadelphia to start the now chaos of AAD Philly. I wish I was more excited about this year, but all the bullshit with the hotel as sucked the joy out of this year for me. Seriously? Do yourselves a favor and NEVER use a Hilton to do ANY events. AT ALL. This has been a nightmare, well at least the past 4 weeks has been.

I wish I could say I am determined to make the best of it but I'll be on edge all week. I am looking forward to the signing on Saturday. No matter what happens, I do love meeting readers and talking to people. So if your coming to the signing on Saturday (2-4 Ormandy Ballroom) Stop by and see me, say hi, maybe pick up a book, and let me know the signing rocks.

Im sure there will be lots of pictures and insanity online as AAD has free wifi for its guests and the Guidebook app. Check about on FB and twitter for all the madness. I might know Im going to have a fucked week... but everyone else will have the time of their lives.

Ahoy everyone!

I have been very busy with AAD and all that its been hard to update anything. So i have some time now, so lemme get down to it.

Its been an INSANE couple of months. May was a blur as was June. July was tons of insanity as well... Needless to say, I cant remember much. I know I went to MARCON in there at some point. On that trip Leanna Renee Hieber and I got really drunk with Rosemary Laurey and I was on a panel about the Walking Dead. I dont remember much except I came home with a GIANT Cthulhu from the vendor room.

We went to the beach in there as well. I got drunk with our friend Kelly and played at the waterpark. I really need pictures of these things.

So in book news, we have submissions out with our Awesome Agent, so we are waiting on answers. its been pins and needles around here. Something cool though, We are on KINDLEGRAPH! Thats right those of you with Kindle's can have US sign your books of ours on there.

Rhys' rock star book...

So Audra and I are working on Rhys' book while we are working on other things that are taking precedence. Its been good, getting 500 words here 250 words there with this story, and its coming along nicely.

For those that don't know, Rhys' book is about a rock star on tour that happens to be able to see dead people. yes, Rhys is a medium. Anyway, he and his band are on their first full US tour and Rhys decides that seducing his tour manager (yes, it is a woman) is one hell of a pass time on the road, and pursues her, to the point of forgetting about the woman hes loved and suffered for for so long, his long dead Phaedra. Well Phaedra isn't having any of that, shes of the mind that he should suffer greatly and doesn't want him to be happy, least of all with a girl shes extremely jealous of.

Yes. Clusterfuck. I am loving writing this book. Anyway, With this one, because its about a rockstar and life on the road (and YES, I can write about it with authority, Its what I did for a living for 5 years...) I was thinking of adding in the play lists we used to write it... Since Rhys and the band are not Rock and Roll in the most pure sense, they are a Emo core band from NOLA, a lot of readers done know squat about that lifestyle or the kinda music it really is... So I'm thinking of adding a play list in at the beginning to help readers get into the story, and even help them find some new music they will probably love.

So as readers, do you like extras like that in books?

Ok so I have been checking some things out recently... and realized that while we have been selling a nice amount of books recently NO ONE is reviewing anything. Well that's Just Poo. See, what readers don't understand is that reviews (reader reviews) DO HELP SELL BOOKS. Most readers will go and review the big NY published books, but what about the ones that REALLY need the reviews to make sure sales keep up, IE: the Small press author?

So in an attempt to get our name out there more, I'm going to offer up books for review, free of charge! So whats the catch... Read on.

1. If you take the book, you MUST review it either on Amazon, ARe, TEB (if applicable), Siren(If Applicable) and BN.com. This REALLY does help authors sell books.
2. If you have a bloggy, you MUST post there as well.
3. If you happen to post on ARe, PLEASE rate the book. Ratings help the authors sell books by getting on the Top Reader Rated list.

Stella tells cons like it is: RT convention & why I dont go.

Ok so a lot of people are going to say this post is because of AAD and everything... but let me assure you, its not. AAD has had no problem making its numbers because AAD is affordable and BETTER, but lets not get into that yet, shall we? No, this post is because I have heard YET AGAIN that RT has screwed over more small press authors this year and I think its about time someone brought some facts to light about the much beloved event.

Now, dont get me wrong, I have spent money on rt 4 times, no more. I have learned that RT is not the be all end all for romance cons. Why? because as a small press author, you get shafted, and heres how you do.

NY published authors have no problem on the whole, as they are the ones that get ALL of the opportunities. They are the ones leading the panel lists (and filling the panels with their friends) they are the ones thatget the promotional opps, and their parties are the ones that are picked up. Small press authors get thrown by the wayside in so many ways for RT that is almost laughable. So here we go.

1. The Booksigning saturday is a sham. Going to a con as HUGE as RT, if your not signing saturday, you have no reason to be there. Why? because the "expo" is a joke on the whole. RT has succeeded in segregating those in e book and small press by making sure 90% of small press authors dont participate in saturday by not allowing carry in books. "But Stella", you say, "thats not true." Oh but it is. See, RT plays the game of not knowing if a bookseller will be able to order books for small press... when the Bookseller knows when the sign on who they will order. How do I know? I run a convention, and its the same situation. 90% of all small press (with the exception of Samhain, and mostly, EC) BN will not order so, because of that, small press authors cant sign at the biggest signing event of the con. HOW IS THAT FAIR? Everyone pays and exorbitant amount to attend, so everyone should have the opportunity to sell to people. But its not so.

Now, last years event almost all of the EC authors were screwed over by NOT getting books in for the majority of their authors, even AFTER one of the EC staff worked with them. I know of several authors that were told personally by the BN store when they called that they HAD their books, and they showed up and nothing was there.. whats more, Some authors showed up and there was ONE copy of ONE book on their table. Again, How is that fair?

2. Promotional opportunities are limited. 99% of the reader events are populated by NY authors and NY authors only. Why? Because RT charges an arm and a Leg to be part of these things, They DONT HAVE TO. but they do because RT is a money making machine (WHY do you think your registration is so expensive? Believe me, its not because it has to be, your registration doesnt pay for your meals or anything like that.) This year, a friend of mine had tried to set up a reader event. she is small press, but set it up with some other people, including some new NY authors. She was told yesterday that the time frame was TRIPLE BOOKED and that she wouldnt be doing this. Now remember, this is AFTER everything has gone to print. Either they forgot about her (likely, shes no one big enough to catch notice) or they just didnt care (more likely) because shes not a big name. Either way, her opportunities for promotion to the readers is cut to nothing because she doesnt have any sort of focused event they will attend.

Now you will say "Stella, theres SO MANY other reasons to attend RT." No. theres not. Attending a con like this is supposed to be about connecting with readers, and getting your name known. Unless your on panels, focused in parties or a NY author that can afford to pay for a personal party, your thrown by the wayside. You dont attend RT to network with other authors. You attend to get your name out to readers, and meet other industry. I have been there 4 times, and have busted my ass to meet people, set up smaller events in Club RT, and this does NOTHING. Most readers attending wanna meet the NY authors, and I get that, hell i agree with it, but if thats the way it is, dont try to pull small press authors in with empty promises and ideas.

Here's some things you may not know about rt:

All meals (the Faerie Ball and the Vamp Ball) are paid for by the authors sponsoring. So your registration pays for nothing.
RT's book goodies have fallen off through the years. I went home with 150 books in Houston. In Ohio I went home with maybe 30. Whats up with that?
Promo Alley has NOBODY watching it, In the years since they have instituted it, I have never once seen someone go and watch it. so why charge authors 25$ each for it to "Pay someone to watch it?" Yep, they are TAKING MORE OF YOUR MONEY for no reason.
You will not recoup 1/8 of what you paid to go in any fashion. being that if they HAVE your books they only allow 15, you wont make back anything close to what you paid to get there, do your promo and your costumes. And those residuals, of people looking for you later? Non existent.
RT tacks on at least a grand for EVERY party they put on. Again, I know because there are standards in food service (not across the board but the majority) and i can figure out how much it will cost for an author to do a party... and 3k-8k isn't it... especially when they never have more food then for 100 people.

Now, Im not talking simply from my own experience, this is what I have figured out after 4 year, and scores of authors and friends talking at the event and after. New authors need to know that RT is not in any way the place to garner new readers, unless of course you have the $ to pay for the privilege. I dont know about you, but I dont and cant justify spending so much to walk around and get ogled by oiled up men, eat crappy over cooked food (and its recycled btw, at least it was in Florida and Ohio), and be ignored by readers who go with their own agenda.

So here's my call to arms, because I know there's authors out there saying "that's not it, Stella is a liar, and RT is the best!" and they have no idea. So Please, if you had any problems with RT, and how its not affected or affected your career, pleas comment here. I would like these authors to know they arent alone, and that Im not just hemming and hawing because I have another con. AAD came about BECAUSE RT was so shady... and people needed an alternative.

Ahoy faithful readers!

So there's lots going on in the Eververse these days, good stuff, bad stuff, crazy stuff... So i figured I would bring you guys up to speed.

First, I have a new computer. yes, senior lappy the second died, so Im working on moving everything over to this one. so wish me well this one lasts a little longer then a year and a half, or my hunny will kill me.

Second, As of the end of this month, We will have our djinn series back from Phaze books, AND our short story, Lady Luck. We have been expanding the first in the Djinn series, and it will be going out for submissions with a different name and at least 8k more words... Yes... More Janey and Marsh... Awesome. More on that as it comes in.

Next, we have donated to the Operation Auction to help our the amazing blogger, Fatin, who suffered tragically when her husband was gunned down last tuesday in a senseless murder. AAD will be giving stuff away as well, but Audra and I donated this:

Well I'm in SC, still hunting. its warm so I'm counting myself lucky that I'm not in the bitter cold of NY even for a little while longer. it is beautiful here, so I'm taking advantage.

We went to Savannah yesterday, walked around a bit, it was really cool. Audra and I are setting a series in Savannah so it was worth the trip just to get a feel for it, and make the imagery authentic. Savannah has some awesome beauty, the squares, the history, the hauntings, LOL. it really was the right setting for this book. hope our agent thinks so when it finally reaches her clutches LOL. and Im seriously considering Savannah for AAd 2013. Its just one of those cities everyone will love (and did you know that Savannah is 1 of only 3 cities in the USA that doesnt have an open container law? Drunk carousing anyone?)

AAD stuff is going well as well. Audra and I have decided to give away a registration for the 2012 event this year in Philly. If you wanna win (and believe me, you totally do!) you will have to attend AAD 2011 and pay attention when I talk... cuz I'm going to spell out the contest.

I will be at the Alternative Living Expo on March 5th, with a bunch of the authors (yes, all dressed up) and Ill be selling books. If your close come to it. hangout with us, and get the skinny on AAD and its vendors!

Isnt it great? Very excited that it will be available to start the new year out! You guys know we love our Satyrs, and this print collection will have Of Crimson and Collars and To Collar and Keep in it. Very excited!

Now what do we have in store for the series for 2011? We are hoping to get Sebastian's book (for those that don't know, that's Arabella's brother, and new member of Clan Tempest) and a short about Anya and her Lion shifter Rob from the Knossos West Weresnake series.

Ok well Lemme start by saying this was a good year for hotties. Second let me say that I have a very skewed vision on hotness. So Imma give you guys my top ten for hot, because Oh la la, I feel like tellin everyone.

10. Norman Reedus: Ok he was in Boondock Saints: All Saints Day as Murphy and he did an awesome cameo in The Walking dead as the redneck Darryl. LOVE HIM!

9. Bradley Cooper: Yummy in the A team. the only reason why I watched that flick.

8. Jensen Ackles: Supernatural goodness. Yes, I am totally Team Dean!

7. Tom Felton: DRACO! DRACO! DRACO! LOL. love me some bad guy, and Tom Felton rocks my favorite this year.

6. Garrett Hedlund: Yummy Sam Flynn from TRON: LEGACY. The movie rocked and there was nothing wrong with seeing him in his skin tight outfit the entire time. Made it 100% better.

5. Adrien Brody: ok 2010 was his year for hot. Splice and Predators made me drool over his oddness, but WOW did he become hot.

4. Ian Sommerhalder: Oh poor misunderstood Damon. My favorite vamp of the year, hes the reason I tune in every week. Yummo

3.James Purefoy: slipping from his top slot this year, only because Im still sour that I havent seen Solomon Kane. I will though, and the man makes me weak in the knees.

2. Doc Hammer: OMG. YUMMY. Epitome of my geek girl crush. Wow oh wow. For those of you who dont know, Doc does the Venture Brothers Cartoon that i LOVE LOVE LOVE

1. Sasha Roiz: I dont think anything needs to be said about this one, look at his fine ass LOL. Completely yummy, he made me drool over gay gangster Sam Adama on Caprica. And THIS is #2 reason why Im sour Syfy canceled Caprica (#1 being that it was the BEST damn show on TV.)

Holiday Sneak Peek: Leather and Moonshine

Ok so Im posting an un-edited excerpt from Leather and Moonshine, the long awaited 5th Evererse book, about everyone's favorite bad boy demon, Drake. This scene is pretty self explanatory... So Ill let you decide...

Enid Balfour was on the prowl for a very specific prey.

She watched her prey walk out from the back room of Tithe and her body clenched in all the right places. He looked delicious, his jeans molded to his body, his white button up shirt half open, the sleeves rolled up his forearms, his jacket slung over his shoulder.

The man was physical perfection, his short dark hair done in a messy style, his brown eyes penetrating everything he looked at. She knew they were intense, and longed to have them trained on her.

The club was heavy with the scents of pipe smoke, tobacco, hashish and forgotten inhibitions. Enid sat in an inconspicuous corner, watching what passed for the singles scene. So many people, just settling for what looked good through a pair of alcohol rimmed eyes, only to wake up and regret the night before. She had been through it herself, for many, many years, and satisfaction was ever elusive. So she had taken to watching the singles scene, and not being a part of it, that is until recently, when her interest in the chase was sparked once more.

Sipping her drink, she took it all in. The bar itself was crowded, women wearing less than they should pressed up close to men who wouldn't remember their names come an hour from now, all in hopes of finding prince charming. It rarely happened, she saw the same women in here night after night, sometimes happy, most still searching. She watched the men, all looking for one thing, and it’s not the girl to take home to mom. She recalled what a French witch once told her.

"Enid, the guys at the meat markets aren't looking for a girl to take home to mommy, they are looking for the ever eager woman to take home for the night and forget in the morning. They know damn well they can find the marrying kind at church, or at the library."

She had laughed, and agreed, thinking that her friend was right, that she’d never find what she was looking for at some place as public as a nightclub. That was until she noticed the demon.

He was swarthy, and arrogant, and sexy, and she heard stories in the ladies room from a number of women that had fallen for his charms that he was exactly what she was looking for. Pretty and possibly deadly, the demon was in the club frequently, as if only on the prowl. She had been coming since she noticed him and had been waiting for the right time to approach him. That time was tonight.

She watched him walk into the club proper and beeline to the bar to order his drink. The bartender, the epitome of Goth girl, gave him a beer and pushed her cleavage up and out a little more, probably trying to either entice him into an indiscretion, or get a bigger tip. Odds are it was the former.

Well, E, time to make your move.

She got up from the table and snapped her fingers, changing her outfit to a slinky black wrap dress and black stiletto ballerina tie heels and walked over to where he was standing, taking in the scene and not looking directly at anyone.

It took him a second or two to notice her but once her did his eyes never left her. Her body that was, although he eyed up every inch of her most thoroughly he didn't even spare a glance at her face.

“Ah ah, Eyes up here sexy.” She purred. “Though watching them bug outta your head is encouraging. I think it’s about time you and I had an introduction.”

"I bet you do sweetheart." His eyes moved up to her with a seductive glare. "Though I’ll tell you I don't really need to know your name. I’ll just forget it by tomorrow." He leaned back against the table tilting the beer to his lips his eyes defying her to be offended.

At least he was honest. “Suit yourself then,” she smiled and motioned to the bartender for a drink. “Shame though. Its contingent on so many things.”

"Things?" He asked curiously.

“Mmm.” She turned and leaned her back against the bar and stretched, her breasts pushing up and out of her dress seductively. “Yes, especially things like you making good on those hard fuck promises in your eyes.” She turned her head and licked her lips. “Though if I’m misreading the ‘come hither and fuck me’ look I’m getting from you please say so.”

"No misreading going on peaches. If you’re after a deep hard fuck then your well on your way."

“I should hope so, otherwise this dress would have been wasted on tonight. So?” she grabbed her tequila shot and downed it in one, no lime or salt.

"So let's find somewhere we can go and get naked, quickly." He took her hand pressing it to his erection. "And I’ll give you what you need."

“Of course you will, Drake. And you’ll do it all night wont you?” she smiled and squeezed his groin. “My place isn’t far, Should we take my car?" she produced a set of keys from thin air, "Or port there?”

"I’ll do it till I'm well and truly satisfied...” he frowned. “Port?"

She smirked. “Umm well then…” she looked him up and down and rolled her fingers on his groin again. “Though we aren’t going anywhere till you ask me my name. Don’t you want to know what you’ll be growling most of the night?” Enid slipped her tongue out, running the tip of it across her top lip. She cocked her head. “So the car, or a quick port… as in teleporting. Though I’m sure your kind calls it blinking through the lines. What’s it going to be?”

"We'll port." He said studying her again his nostrils flaring ever so slightly. "You can do the honors pet. If you want to tell me your name I won't stop you."

“See that’s not the same as asking Drake… but since you kept the sneer out of your voice, I’ll tell you. My name is Enid.” She smiled. “And I think we should move off to a dark corner, I don’t flaunt my powers.”

"Oh I don't mind you can flaunt anything you want peaches."

“Ummm true, but I don’t feel like getting stalked later for a little some from unwanted people.” She pulled her hand away from his groin and then hooked her fingers into the band of his pants and tugged, turning her body as she stalked seductively towards the darker side of the club, towards the doors that lead to the private rooms.

"You know," he grinned following her. "We could always take a back room without getting too personal."

She shook her head. “What I have in mind needs some specifics, and they don’t have them here.” She grinned. “Nervous?”

"Of what?" He asked puzzled.

She grinned and moved closer and nipped his bottom lip. “Hold on tight baby.” She closed her eyes and ported them from the bar to a rather swank living room, complete with leather couches, a flat screen liquid crystal television and a monochromatic color scheme. The walls were white, the couches were black and all the throw pillows and carpet were gray.

He looked around gathering his bearings. "Nice." He said sounding genuinely impressed.

“Thanks. Make yourself at home Demon.” She grinned.

"Oh I plan to." He grinned taking a seat, his feet on the table. "And just what exactly are you darling?"

“Now lover, you’re a smart Demon I’m sure you can figure it out. How many races do you know of that teleport?” she grinned. “Can I get you something to drink?”

"I know a lot of races. Pour me a scotch."

Enid walked over to him and grinned, then snapped her fingers and produced a rocks glass of scotch that she held out to him. “Need more hints?”

He stared dumbly at her. "Ummm…?”

Enid laughed and lightly pushed the hand with the scotch to the side and slid into his lap and wrapped her arms around his neck. “Well I’m not a demon. This lavender and light blue in my hair? Is real, not a dye job. And I was already old when you started kicking around the earth…” she grinned. “Need more?”

"A name would be good. Sweetheart I could name six different races I know that could do that... I try not to be presumptuous."

“Wise.” She said and moved in, ghosting her lips over his. “I think I’ll let you figure it out then.” She nipped at his bottom lip and wiggled on his lap.

"That suits me." He kissed her back pressing his mouth to hers.

His skin was cold, deliciously so, and her nipples hardened as it transferred to her. Bone cold, the kind that seeps into you and holds on, Drake threw it off in sensual waves. Humans wouldn’t really pick up on it, but Enid was already attuned to his biorhythms, and wanted to find out just how far he would go. If the rumors were true, then she was going to be in for one hell of a night.

"Specific?" He took her wrists in one hand crushing them almost to the point of pain. "Your all about specifics aren't you peaches?"

She moaned and shivered. “Ummm I am. Why don’t I show you what I’m talking about?” she let her eyes slip closed and shuddered.

He chuckled, the sound vibrating through her. "Why don't you?"

Enid opened her eyes and slipped back off his lap and crooked her finger at him. He got up and followed her, growling as she accentuated her sway of her hips as she walked to a black door. She moved to the side and presented the knob to him. “Open.”

He arched his eyebrow cockily at her then shrugged to himself before reaching for the doorknob and opening it. Enid stood to the side of the doorframe as Drake walked into her playroom. He appraised the manacles on the wall, the small rack she had against another wall, and the steel table taking up some of the expanse of the room. The far wall was covered in cupboards, the doors of them see through, her smaller toys, floggers and whips on display. He walked to the center of the room and stood above the drain and then looked at her.

“How is this for specifics?”

We got some great news today

the print version of our first volume of the American Satyrs series, both OF Crimson and Collars and To Collar and Keep will be in print for January 2011! Audra and I are extremely excited about this because it will be the first print release with Total E Bound, and we both just LOVE the quality of the print with them.

So the dualogy will have both Of Crimson and Collars (ben's book) and To Collar and Keep (harley's book). Both of them are very close to our hearts and we know the readers that have read them love them too. SO very excited about it.

Our next stories in this series will be (in no particular order) Alexander, Sebastian, Corbin and Iago, and a prequel story about Ben's parents, Inez and Nicolai. Who else is excited?

And I think Ill do a contest for a print version for a lucky reader in the new year!

Audra and I have some awesome news!

We just signed with Louise Fury of the L.Perkins Agency. Thats right, we have an agent, and a damn awesome one too! Very excited to be working with her, and Audra almost shit herself when she found out. So excited on this side!

In other news, AAD is going swimmingly well! We have over 100 registrations already and some fantastic amazingly awesome authors attending as well. Ill be posting about it soon so stay tuned.

Right now, Im going to go and celebrate this amazing opportunity!

Night After Lady Jane

Ooh wow did I have fun! Last night I was one of the authors featured at Lady Jane's Salon in NYC at Madame X's. I was nervous as hell because I had to READ and I'm not that good at it. So I drank. And drank. Then I was up. I was surprised that considering my buzz, I actually told a pretty good, coherent tale. What did I read? I read from You Burn Me, early on, the scene with Xxieda and Rhys when she found him in the bathtub, nekkid and passed out drunk. Apparently It was met with a bit of laughter, which was awesome.

Im excited as well because I got to wear my new costume to the event... Shall you like to see as well? Well here... Isnt it pretty? I designed and hand sewed the bustle, and designed the hat and the jewelry I wore, and was met with very positive comments. I love this skirt too, got it from ChisStar (duh) and Im considering the Black one too.

So yes, I had a good time, and Im looking forward to my next event, November 13th in Middletown NY, hometown signing, and the last of the year. Im hearing noises about a Salon before Anachronism but more on that once I know more.

Still deciding on others, trying to figure it all out. But the truth is, I must be out there this year. And with AAD and all, I really wanna make sure I'm all over the place this year. Its going to be a good one, and It looks like Ill be sharing a bit of the cons with my bff Brooke, and since it will be her first con year, it should prove to be one wild time.

I'm excited to go to Scotland for the babies birthday as well. I might not be there for the birthday (with ShevaCon the week after) but I'm looking forward to spending some time with Aud and Matthew and the fam on the other side of the pond.

Not so sure I'm looking forward to moving, but it is inevitable. At least Aud and the baby can come and hangout by the beach with me. It will be nice to get a house together and all, but... I dont know I dont think I'm very excited about it. I'm more interested in getting the career off the ground right now.

Still its probably good if i just learn to let go. LOL but its hard... Still Im excited about the events Ill be attending for the first time. I have heard nothing but awesome things about Arisia and DC and ShevaCon. So this is what I'm excited about.

I'm back to normal after the insanity of AAD. Very excited that its over, but I had a great time this year, and we are already working on next year. Super excited about that. We raised a lot of money for the charities, gave away a ton of books and goodies, and had a generally all around good time. Next year is going to kick this years ass, I guarantee it. And you better be there. (Registration opens in November!)

So on the personal front, I took our appointments, and I'm waiting to hear back on two of them. Here's hoping, total fingers crossed. I had a great time getting to know the agent that we pitched to, and regardless if she wants to rep us or not, shes one hell of a woman, and has my respect always, just for being a generally awesome person. She really went above and beyond to meet authors and be a part of the event. Super sweet.

The one thing that happens when i get back from a romance con, is I wanna write. I get the renewed push and the itch, and it all is wondrous again. And I have ideas about doing writers retreats for the coming years, but its just ideas at this point. It needs to simmer. or fester. take your pick.

Audra and I are working on a few different things right now, but are focusing on something that we had put aside for a while. After this event, it just seemed right to pick it up again, as we both got some great ideas about it. Here's hoping we can rock it in a short amount of time.

So I have a few more appearances before the end of the year as well. This weekend is Collingswood Book festival, and then the weekend after is AlbaCon. Very excited about both. AlbaCon is my end of the year con, and its one I always do well at. Ill be on a slew of panels as well, so come out, hangout, buy books and get drunk with us. its a good time, I swear it.

Well AAD is around the corner and I'm feeling a bit better about it because I have all my own stuff finished. Packing, my basket and all the goodies and candy and alcohol. Yes. Its good to have a lot off your plate.

Im still waiting on a few more boxes of books and some gift baskets, but on the whole I would like to say Im seriously ready for this. And not a day too soon! With the new book coming out on Monday, Im trying to get myself into promotional mode. I did send out a few copies for reviews, so that is good, and Im trying to get ready for the days promotional. Harley is talking about a chat on monday... so that might be in the cards.

So whats on the agenda for today? Repacking to pair down the boxes, and tonite, Resident Evil Afterlife, and maybe even the Blue Martini in Newburgh with Larissa from Larissa's Life. That should be fun.
Excited? You should be there are some awesome authors and publishers and its not to be missed, especially if your in the area!

Ok, im back to work, and Im hoping to get stuff finished today and just have a lie in tomorrow before the real craziness of the week ahead happens...

I cant wait for AAD now. Im excited because its so close, and I cant wait to see everyone. Its going to be a seriously cool weekend, Lots of goodies and books and mayhem. I really cant wait though Im nervous that all my prep will go a little pear shaped and people wont have a good time. But thats the issues you deal with when your rocking a convention. Everyone had a good time last year, Im just hoping I can duplicate that.

Until Harley comes to call! YAY! We are very excited about this book finally coming out, and we hope the fans are too! I have been nervous about this one, it took a while to finished (what with Audra being preggers and then having little Matthew) so I'm just glad its finally getting out there.

No reviews as of yet, Hell I havent even gotten our copies yet, so I'm hoping they will be forthcoming. So anyway, I'm thinking about the cool promotional I'm going to do for this book. And truth is, I got nothing. Harley has been making noises about a chat on the 13th, which I will probably let him do, so aside from reviews, I'm a bit at a loss.

What we DID decide to do is give away some cool goodies, namely a signed book cover of the book. How do you win? well you have to answer the question: What is the name of Harley's soon to be father in law?" (Yes this means you have to buy the book. Sorry but nothing in this world is given away for free, and second, why would you want promo of a book your not interested in reading?)

Con season starts once again

Well I'm 4 days out from CONTEXT in ohio. This year is going to be awesome, I'll have not only my con staple of Ash with me, but Tilly, Jolynne and Elizabeth with me as well. This is my relax con, where I can just hangout, do my panels and drink a whole hell of a lot. Context is always fun, and this year I'm on several panels including Paranormal Romance and Urban Fantasy, and a few odd ones I cant quite remember. If your in the area, pop by Saturday, 1130am. It's the Mass signing and theres a TON of authors coming. Should be fun. Ooh and if your lucky, you can get some of our books at a insane discount.

On the 1st Im going into NYC for a book release event, Michele Lang's Lady Lazarus. WOO. what a beautiful cover and I cant wait to get my signed copy. I'll be reading it while away... more on that in a minute.

AAD is on the horizon as well. Quite excited about it, and happy to have everything working out, even if it has been a long hellish road. From staff not coming to hotels being a bunch of retards, this year has proved challenging. I just hope we live up to the awesome that was last year. And theres the open to the public book signing on September 18th from 2-4pm. Pop down, meet authors and get your books signed!

I have a book signing coming up on the 25th of September as well. Middletown NY, 2-4pm. Maybe. We will see.

October 2nd is the Collingswood Book festival. Very excited, as always, to do that event. Sadly Tilly and Cat wont be in attendance, but that's ok, we will try to make our own fun.

AlbaCon is the week after that, and I'm excited to go with Kay to hangout with all our friends. Ill be running a workshop called "Being your own publicist" and teaching authors how to set up signings and events, and cultivate relationships with booksellers and venues. and Im on a fuck ton of panels as well. It should be a good time, especially with the booksigning.

And then, on October 16th I leave for a week to go to South Carolina, or more specifically, Hilton Head Island. We are doing a week long vacation with Joe's parents, and also looking for houses! Thats right we are taking the plunge into real estate, and looking into buying our first home together. So wish us luck we find something the size we want. Then all yall can come visit. I'm a fabulous cook.

And then When i get home, I have one more event: Lady Jane Salon on November 1st! It will be my first reading event in AGES so if you wanna see me fumble through my words, please stop in. More as it comes.

Ok so thats it on my side. Audra and I are working on Book three of the dragon elementals, Moongardens. Im hopeful it will be out early 2011.

Well I have picked an assistant, Monica S. Shes going to be my non insane arm at the event, working on making sure the attendees are happy, and everything runs smoothly. Shes also a fantastic book blogger, so shes really ingrained in the romance community. I feel really good about my choice.

AAD stuff is almost done. We got the programs yesterday, and they look awesome! They were printed by Smartpress.com and I swear Im going to use this company for everything from now on. They were one of those places that didnt give me problems, and with all the insanity this year, I needed hassle free.

Speaking of Hassle Free, This past weekend we went to Mohegan Sun with friends for a little R and R. It was fun. We had dinner at Tod English's Tuscany, went shopping at LUSH and did a little gambling. I do love Roulette, Ooh and I actually WON something on the penny slots.

And I got to dress up. I dont dress up a lot when going out but this time I was like, well, Might as well. The dress i got from ChicStar.com and the corset from another vendor. Dress is OMG comfy. Pick it up if you can.

Im working on getting ready for CONTEXT in two weeks. Finishing some outfits, getting my books together, and scant promo and for the first time in a LONG time, getting my table decor together as well. Still interviewing assistants. AAD stuff is almost in the bag, and Im getting ready for a solid month of writing before AAD. I have other things to do in between, but anyone that knows me knows that writing takes up about 75% of my day when Im in a writing groove. I have things that need finishing to send out on submission, and Audra and I have to outline two more books.

Im excited to see her in Sept. It will be good to hangout with her, and to see my nephew. We will be celebrating two awesome things. One, the new release with Total E Bound, To Collar and Keep, and the convention only release of FOREVER SHADOW. These are for the cons only, and you can get them at ConTEXT, AAD, AlbaCon and Collingswood Book Festival. Ok... and Im going to give a few copies away here on the bloggy in August... Can you say.. Scavenger hunt? LOL

Time to get back to writing. I have tons to do.

So due to life getting in the way, I need a new executive assistant for AAD. This is such a last minute thing for me, and I am having enough problems going on with out of the blue issues that I dont have the time to really LOOK for one. So Im going to put the call out here.

Well Audra and I are through our To Collar and Keep edits and they have gone on to the proofer. I'm hoping we will get our new cover soon, I'm dying for it. like, FIENDING for this cover LOL.

We have been working on a new idea, and its going really well. Im excited about actually working on this one. Hopefully we will have info on this soon as well.

I'm leaving for vacay with Cara North at the end of the month to spend July 4th with her. It should be fun. More on that as I'm on vacay.

Ooh on the 6th of July my cohort in steam Elizabeth Darvill will be here to talk about her first EVER book release, Love in a Time of Steam (Which I did the cover for, LOL). So wait for that, its going to be... insightful.

Now that I have shown off my new clothes, Lemme tell you all about What Im doing. With AAD coming quicker then I realized, I'm getting Promo done, design work done, costumes ordered for both myself and Audra, helping Jacki figure hers out, and oh yeah dealing with edits for our book To Collar and Keep. The book is the second in our satyr series, and will be available the week of AAD so im trying to deal with everything con wise and gets edits done. Its busy busy busy!

Yes, very excited that Astoroth is coming June 15th. If you dont know, Audra and I write a series about fallen angels, and while most are taking them as angels and such... our s are really fallen. they hangout with Lucifer, who is a staple in the books, and influence mankind. Our thing with this series is that Lucifer and his crew have gotten a bad rep, cuz Heaven has some really good PR. Really Heaven and those on high don't give a fig about whats going on on earth, or with God's chosen, the Humans. They are so neglectful, that Lucifer and his crew not only love humanity, but are on the front lines of the war for souls. They love, they lose and they hope, like everyone, its just that their wings are a bit more sooty and tarnished.

So this story is about Astoroth, high duke of hell. When a woman at the end of her bucket list meets him in a bar in Las Vegas, he sees the possibility for some harmless fun with a human just at her expiration date... what he doesn't count on is deciding to keep her...

Its a shorty, because you will see Astor later in the series (which we are busily writing) and when you do you will know all about his relationship with the human... and guess what? its 99 cents! thats right, super cheap and super sexy... Astor is quite a hottie.

So June 15th is when you can grab your copy of his short and fall in love with the Duke...

So, I got my birthday present from Joe. He got me the Tiffany & Co. key I wanted. See I believe that at least once in every girls life, they should get the blue bag, and the little blue box with the white ribbon, and the little blue pouch with the jewelry in it from Tiffany & Co. My thing was, I'm not a big jewelry fan in general, because I'm not all about status. When I saw the keys, I wanted one right away, but not one of the insane ones with the diamonds. Nope. I wanted and got the midnight titanium one. It fits me better then some glittery sparkly thing. Its almost flat black, and perfect for my style. So now, as he said, I don't have to wear my octopus all the time, if ever. Bastard. I knew he had an agenda. HEH.

Seriously though, its been a pretty good birthday weekend. LOST last night, and a full Monday just for me. Not too bad. Lets hope 31 is an awesome year.

Movie post: the Covenant: Candy for women

Ok so who saw The Covenant? It was this flick that came out in 2006 and was in essence, a male version of The Craft with hotter guys. I mean this flick is all around high school man candy... if you believe that guys look like that IN high school, and that 5 super hot guys (its like the boy band of witches, something for everyone really) would all be bro's and friends.

Does anyone see this for the blatant money making machine it was supposed to be? The flick has no real story, and no continuity, hell it just seems like a vehicle to show off the guys in swimming speedo's (not that I'm complaining, they were quite fetching)
So who has seen this flick, and what was your take on it?

Friday was my busy day. I had a panel in the morning, Club RT party, expo after that and then the big party for the night. Friday was stella's steampunk day, and I wore my cute steampunk outfits (and YES, I wear these as normal clothing, I dont dress up for photo shoots and play poser, I just dont wear my goggles all the time.)

So this is my day clothes, and yes, I was SUPER comfortable.

This was my awesome evening outfit. Yes, the Skirt is from ChicStar, and it was the BEST BEST BEST thing to compliment the full outfit. I dont think I could find a better fitting and breatable skirt for this (cuz lets face it, DAMN I was trussed up!)

Thursday was a lot of fun. Since I didnt have anything major to do, I did a lot of walking around, had some lunch with Bianca D'Arc and Tilly Greene, and collected promo goodies.

Thursday night we had the Faerie Ball, and I was a faun. Infact I was videoed during the farie ball with my wicked horns on. Yes they were heavy, but damn did they look good. So heres some pictures:

I had to take those horns off though mid party, and put on a set of smaller ones. But Damn were they awesome to wear.

RT Recap and the beginning of the weeklong contest!

Well I'm somewhat more relaxed after the whirlwind that was RT this year. It was quite possibly the best one i have been to, by way of Hotel, parties and people. the Bookseller this year was only interested in getting the top three authors books, and the rest of us were fucked. Still, I sold out of Entwined by Fate, Hung out with some awesome people, got the word out about weresnakes and rocked all my cute clothes. So shall we get on with it?

So, today we will deal with wed. We got in really early, dropped off the gift baskets to the Bookseller room and the Club RT, then rocked to the airport to pick Liz up. It went quickly and then we were back at the hotel, Fondue getting everything up to the room and Liz and I rocking to registration. I had two panels on wed, the writing with a partner one (which was super fun, LOVE the ladies I did the panel with!) and then a promotional panel with Bianca, Flash and D. Renee Bagby. It was fun and I hope people learned a lot, we were spitting out info left and right.

We then got ready for the EC party. what an interesting time that was. I have to be honest, i could care less about the mens getting nekkid on stage, it was much more fun to grab swag and hangout with the people I knew laughing at the guys onstage. Cuz it was funny.

After that was the Mad Hatter's tea party. So much fun, a lot of goodness and goodies. I had a great time, though I hadn't slept since 530 AM the day before. Needless to say I went to my room and passed right out. It was a lot of fun. And a perfect beginning of the week for me.

I have decided to do something cool when I come back from RT. A weeks worth of posts on this blog, involving pictures, info and anecdotes from the week Im at the convention. And to celebrate I'll be giving away most of the hoarde I get while there.

See, I am a strange bird because I pick everything up, but I normally keep none of it. In Houston, I came home with almost 300 print books, and kept about 5. Were did the rest go? I had book signings after it and the people that showed to the book signings got special goodie bags.

Last year, I came home with like 20 books (sad right, not much going on by way of freebies last year, so im nervous for this year) and gave them all away on my blog with the goodies and fun other stuff I collected. that went over well...

So I'm going to rock my contest week again, and maybe, just maybe I'll have some other authors joining me. And Yes... these contests will be open to those overseas, so yes, just because you dont live in the good ole US of A doesn't mean you can win!

So Since Im not at RT yet, Im going to open the floor to you guys, the readers, to tell me what kinda things you wanna win. Now bear in mind there not much by way of "premium" items we (the regular attendees) get. Thats mostly reserved for the booksellers of the invite only publisher parties. I love this jacket. I am trying to design a costume around this jacket. I have the corset, and I'm doing a cool skirt, or rather Im having a skirt made for me by a seamstress friend that matches, But I really love the way this jacket looks. I love the buttons, and I love the fact that its cotton, which is a huge plus because you know its going to breathe. I had been apprehensive about this one because of the ruffle, but i have come to enjoy the visual aesthetic. See I LOVE jackets, I love wearing them and I have quite a collection. So this will not only work awesome for some costumes for my steam punk collection, but it will be wearable on normal times too. You can buy this jacket HERE.

Well this has been a strange contest for us, and one that we will be doing again. There were SO many good ideas sent to us, but ultimately, Audra choose the name from something SHE had been toying with... Which I have to admit fits the whole scope of the story. But never fear, someone did win, just not in the way we thought they would.

So the winning name is You Burn Me. When you read the book you will notice it IS a double edged sword kinda name, because it works for both sides of the relationship. With that in mind, Cover has also been finished. What do you guys think?

I found my steampunk skirt... finally!

Yes I found THE Skirt for my "ladies" costume for the Steam punk Worlds Fair this may! I already have my airship engineer's costume done, but I was searching for the most perfect skirt for the other costume, and I found it and its SUPER affordable.

Its black and white stripped with a flattering fish tail that pulls tight at the knees and then flairs to the bottom. its just steam punk enough and will look amazing with my new black satin corset and white ruffled shirt. I think the stripes will even slim my hips just enough as well. I can’t wait to try this one on.

So the costume? The skirt, the corset, my cute creme ruffled shirt, a jaunty mini top hat that's striped like the skirt, and my awesome granny boots. I can’t wait to take a picture of me in this one. I think I need a parasol, though I do have the cute netted gloves already and the awesome stockings.

New Pants!

OK so I got my super cute new pants from chicstar this weekend and wore them at LunaCon on Sunday. LOVE the pants, comfy, they breathe really well and the corset bottoms are SO cute. I paired the pants with a cute off the shoulder olive green shirt and my cute blow fish mottled green and black flats.

The pants are SO unbelieveably comfortable, and the satin piping that makes the sweeping design on the side is the perfect contrast to the flat black of the cotton. For RT I'll probably wear these with my cute black ruffled shirt, my black and silver corset and my cute bat heel shoes. I should be adorable.

Help us name our new Story!

So Audra and I have been working on a novella for about 4 years and I finally finished it. Why so long? Well there are lots of reasons but the most prominent is that Audra wasn't writing one of the Main characters. A friend of ours, Nadia had developed the character at first and then things got in the way. So, When we used him as a cameo in Sugar and Sin, we started getting emails about him, asking about his story, and what the whole deal was with the girl dumping her coffee on him was about.

So we used what we had, of the character, and changed a bunch of it, adding to his personality and subtracting some as well. What we came up with is whats in this new story. And guess what? This story, when available is going to cost only 99 cents! that's right, a full Novella, at 99 cents from All Romance E books!

So that being said, here's the deal. We don't have a name for this book. I have been trying to figure one out for the past 4 years, and I got nothing. That's where you come in. So heres the deal. Im going to give you guys the blurb, and we need you to help us come up with a name for this.

Winner will get not only a mention in the acknowledgments, but also a print copy of Sugar and Sin signed by both of us, and some awesome goodies, maybe even an "I DO IT DEMONSTYLE" shirt. So ready? Ok thought so. Here's the blurb:

This normally doesn't happen, I'm usually running pretty much full steam ahead until Saturday, when I start to slow down, unless its a signing week, then I take it easy with prepping and planning and then let my energy seep during the event.

That was the plan for this week, but its not to be. I'm already tired and knackered. Yesterday morning I had a dream about a guy I knew, and hadn't spoken to in over 10 years. I hadnt even thought about him for a long while, but we were friends in HS, and I used to have a severe crush on him.

So when I got up yesterday I realized that it was the 15th and it was his birthday, which was a nice little coincidence for me. So taking it as a reason to contact him, I went looking for him on Facebook because lets face it, everyone is on facebook. What I found shocked me. My friend passed away in Feb. Needless to say I was a bit disturbed, freaked out even, and I let myself have a good cry. He was a brilliant musician and apparently brilliant in general. Ill miss him. When we were close he always made me laugh.

My dream, or what I remember of it, was nice, and there was a hug involved between us. I like to think it was a good thing. And wherever he is, I hope hes a peace.

So because of this yesterday was a bit of a stretch for me to function. And because of THAT I'm exhausted and my week hasn't even begun. I have LunaCon starting on Friday, Kay Jamison is driving up to visit for the weekend on Thursday, and I have 12 panels this weekend. Normally I'm vivacious and excited about events, but I think I'm going to be more subdued this time and I hope that doesn't ruin my experience. I'm hoping this is a fun con, and I'm already packed for all my promo and books. Now to figure out clothing for three days. I'm not even remotely ready for this one... Normally I'm raring to go already.

Seeing Kay is going to rock, and we both need some human interaction. Its been far too long since I have hung out with the girls. Its why I'm looking forward to RT in April.

And I SO love this! Normally I’m very strange about corset tops, but this is so freaking cool, I’m really leaning towards buying this. I mean the back is FANTASTIC and would look so cute with a little black skirt or with my burlesque outfit to mix it up a bit.

The ruffle is Uber cute, and I like how its got buttons on the front and the corset style on the back. The tails are out of control though, and make the piece. I love clothes like this, because its one of those fantastic pieces that can go with jeans or a skirt, or even shorts and boots for a costume.

So Im thinking of buying this for the Romantic Times convention this April in Ohio to go with one of my daywear costumes, maybe with my black skirt, or my cute new Vigoss jeans.
What do you guys think? Would you wear it?

Snowpocyalypse!

Yes, I have survived the sno-pocalypse! barely though. Orange county NY got hit like a SOB, and I was sans internet, cable, phone and power for almost 2 days! Thank god for my cell phone. I dont have pictures of my house, but Fondue's parents house has almost 6 feet of snow! Im here now, and I figured I would take some shots to show you guys.

So what did i do this past 2 days? I read, which was good. I got some work done by way of designing, and I organized my bedroom. So that was good. So that is why theres no Sexy Saturday sex Scene this week. I didnt have time to set one up. Dont worry, Ill have one next weekend LOL.

ooh and As I understand it, Baby Price is on the way. I got an email when I got online today from my sister last night about how she was in the hospital, the bed sucked and the chick next to her was awake reading the Art of War. So I am thinking shes been induced and that my nephew has arrived. We will know soon, and as soon as I do, you will.

They’d been on the bumper cars and a few other rides. Currently, Remy was throwing darts into balloons as he tried to win her a giant bear. The bear in question had a red ribbon tied around its neck, but other than that, didn’t have much going for it. It was one of those giant cross-eyed carnie bears.

Chrissy tore off another piece of candyfloss and stuffed it into her mouth as she watched him move. He was beyond sexy and he kissed like the devil himself.

“And after the hall of mirrors, we have to go and see the Snake Boy.” She smirked sarcastically. “Half man half snake…it sounds terrifying.”

He turned and grinned at her. “Rubbish! As if something like that exists!” He winked at her and threw his last dart, popping the balloon. “Sweet. We’ll take the big panda.” He motioned at the disgruntled carnie and took the bear when he gave it to him. “Thank you kindly.” He turned to Chrissy and smiled. “Well, love, I won the bear. I get a kiss don’t I?”

“Yeah, you sure do. You want it now, or do you wanna save it for later?”

“Oh, I want it now. It will be sweeter with the candy taste to it.” He smiled and moved into her, capturing her lips with his. “And I’ll take one later, too.”

Her arms wrapped around him as she pulled him into a deep kiss. The feel of his tongue on hers, tasting her, forced a deep moan from her mouth. His spicy scent surrounded her, and she pulled back breathlessly, licking her lips. “One like that?”

He growled, his eyes going python for a moment then changing back.

She grinned. “Watch yourself there, lover. You might end up in one of those tents.” She winked.

“Then you shouldn’t press me, pet. It’s your fault.” He gave her a cheeky grin and they walked off down the midway. “So, Chrissy, the monthly hunt is coming up…” he said quietly as they walked, speaking only loud enough for her to hear.

“Sorry, but it feels good to press you.” She popped another piece of candyfloss in her mouth. “It is? Good, I suppose. It’ll be good to get a proper stretch.”

“Well, usually we hunt alone, but…well, are you sentient when you change? I mean do you retain you? Some people don’t…” he rambled and looked at her, blushing slightly.

“Yeah, I stay me. It’s kinda how I’ve survived this long. You’re very cute when you’re asking something,” she remarked gleefully.

He blushed again and shook his head. “Well, would you want to hunt with me? I mean, I’d show you one of my favourite places if you want.” He looked hopefully at her.

His favourite places? “I’d love too. Just the two of us.” Her smile was warm.

He brightened. “Good. We’ll go early then. I assume you’ve honed your telepathic skills, as well?”

She winced. “Um…yeah, a little. I mean kinda…well, not really so much honed, as in…the opposite?”

“Can you use it?”

She nodded. “Sometimes.”

He nodded. “Well, we’ll just have to work on that won’t we. I, personally, can only use it when changed. Elise and Myrna, can use it any time. I think Andy can, too.”

“Practise makes perfect I guess.”

He smiled and nodded his head to the house of mirrors. “Still wanna go for it? I haven’t been in one of those things in ages.”

“Yeah, let’s.” She grabbed his hand and dragged him up the stairs. “These things used to creep me out. They kinda still do. I’ll just have to stay close to you.”

“Go on in, I’ll follow…” He stopped to give the carnie the tickets and spoke to him in hushed tones. Chrissy wondered idly just what was going on, but he followed her a second later with a grin on his face. “Shall we?”

“Sure, let’s go.”

He grinned, and they went deeper into the maze of glass, letting themselves get lost in all the reflections. Two minutes later they were in the centre, and Remy smiled as the lights around them went out, the faint glow of the blue spotlight above them bathing them in its eerie glow.

She looked at him, startled. “Is that supposed to happen?” Her instinct made her step closer to him.

“It does when you pay the carnie a hundred bucks to fulfil a fantasy.”

“Oh yeah?” A small smile graced her face. “And what would that be, babe?”

He pulled her closer and growled, his eyes turning to snake quickly. “Fucking the hell out of you surrounded by mirrors.”

Her body melted into his. “Um, god, I like the sound of that.” She hissed up at him, her eyes matching his.

“Your eyes are so beautiful, Chrissy.” Saying her name, he hissed it out so it sounded like ‘Crisssssy’. He growled and kissed her, taking her hand and guiding it to his groin where he was more than ready for her. “Say yes, Chrissy.”

She squeezed him. “Oh hell, yes!”

He groaned and moved his hands from her hips to the front of her low-rider jeans, quickly unbuttoning them and pushing them down her perfect thighs. “This would have been easier if you were wearing a skirt,” he mused as he went to his knees and pulled her pants to her ankles, helping her step out of them. “But I see you don’t wear underwear, so that’s good.” He kissed the seam of her thighs and slipped his tongue out, travelling higher ‘til it was deep between her soft folds. He groaned and sucked lightly.

She bucked and moaned, her hips moving of their own accord to press into him. The sensation his tongue provided was beyond amazing, and her hands went to his head to steady herself.

He chuckled into her and worked her a bit more before pulling back. “It’s your choice, pet, I can keep going, or…” He let his voice trail off and looked up to her, his eyes still very python and very male.

She shivered and licked her lips. “I want to watch you fuck me, baby.”

He smirked and came off his knees grabbing her behind the thighs and lifting her with him. He moved to a rather large mirror and pushed her back against it, licking his lips. “You taste so fucking good baby. Remind me to finish what I started at a later date.” He kissed her, and she tasted herself as his hands worked his belt and pants open quickly. He deepened the kiss as he slid into her wetness, and she was indeed more than ready for him.

She cried out as he filled her.

“God, you’re so fucking perfect.”

She grabbed the top of the mirror to steady herself as her legs wrapped tightly around him. Her lips met his as they kissed deeply.

Birthdays and updates!

Today is Audra's 26th birthday. My little sister is growing up so fast! LOL. She is still preggers, and is a week overdue, do today starts Operation Evacuation, cuz shes tired of being pregnant. Audra and I talked last night for over an hour, and I'll be on the phone with her today. It looks like we will be working through email (So VERY slowly) on Drakes book and a short story about a fallen angel and a regular angel in NYC. I'm happy that she couldn't stay away. Shes creative and needs the creative outlet. Yay for that.

I have been writing on the Dagmar end, and have gotten a lot put to paper so to speak, so I'm happy that those characters are talking.

Amusement shone in his eyes. "What is me?"

"Your voice. Ummm its perfect."

"No doubt." He sat back down.

As the demon she was, she wouldn’t beg him for anything, but as the potion slithered around her veins, she was coming closer to being the begging wanton mess she knew he wanted. Well it wasn’t going to happen without help, and she was not the kinda girl to just do something like this on her own. She was a princess, and princesses didn’t show weakness.

He smiled at her then stood, lifting his glass with him. "Why don’t we go inside pet."

She nodded and started to get up off the cushy carpet.

He smiled down at her. "Perfect, this way..." He turned his back to her and walked into the house.

The house was stylish, in keeping with its owner, it was masculine, and modern, with hints of the old world charm of the city. Derrek's house was a reflection of himself. She started to tell him this, but her tongue refused to work for her. Every sensation she felt was amplified, the wind coming through open villa doors, the feel of the ground beneath her naked feet, and as she walked through the darkness of the alcove into the candle lit room beyond, the tingles of the shadows and her magic pulling at her. It was all erotic, and she shivered.

He took her to the kitchen area and leaned casually against the counter.

Talking wasn’t an option for her. Her body was on edge, her power not leaking from her, Shadow demons rarely leaked, but she felt it around her like an aura. Whatever it was she drank, it had to be the reason; she never lost control like this. The need for direction was strong and just watching the man in front of her was making her fingers itch to touch him. She swallowed and gave a slight whisper. "What now?"

"Now? Tell me, what would you like to do now?"

His silence was indeed killing her. She reached him and placed a finger on his exposed chest, smiling.

"Anything I want? Pet, I know you'll do anything I want. I want know what you want to do, right now..."

He was playing with her and she knew it. She had very little of her normal self available, and she was going to have to try to regain more to prove the potion didn’t work as well as he was thinking. She moved her fingers and pushed his shirt aside, exposing his intricate tattoo. "What’s this mean?" she asked, following the outline with her fingertip.

"What makes you think it has any meaning at all?" He shook his head. "Answer my question."

The command hit her. "I want.. I want to see this beautiful body of yours. I wanna strip you naked, and kneel at your feet. I want to do anything you want me to do."

He smiled, clearly pleased by her answer. "Well then, what are you waiting for?"

She licked her lips and shuddered, her fingers making quick work of his shirt buttons and pushing it off his shoulders. Derrek was magnificent; the tawny skin covering his muscles, the sparse hair on his now exposed arms, and the trim line of hair dipping under his pant line, making the outline of his perfectly toned abs more startling. He had a few more tattoos and she wondered idly what they meant. They weren’t anything she had ever seen.

His pants were next, and the zipper and button of the linen pants didn’t give her any resistance as she grabbed the material on each hip and pulled down, slipping to her knees and looking up to him, getting the pants off his legs so he stood gloriously naked in front of her. He was prefect everywhere.

"I think I like having you at my feet, pet." He commented as his hand flicked out to catch a lock of her hair. He bent down pulling on her hair so that his lips brushed her ear. When she had her clothes in a pile next to her she went back to her knees and looked hopefully at him.

His heated gaze moved appraisingly over her body. "Very good." His hands darted out to her shoulders pulling her close to him. "You are such a treat Starla Gibson, one to be savored indeed." She couldn't believe him. That's what she got for going out with a guy she knew nothing about, and coming to a casino of all places. She knew it was going to end badly when they walked into the place, never mind the luscious way the man moved in his jeans. Well, this was the last time she was going to think with her sex drive. All it did was get her into trouble, and the fetching piece of man probably thought she was crazy.

She wasn't, however. As a Jenai, she knew how powers backfired. Losing every hand she played was not any way to endear herself to a seasoned, hardcore gambler. Not that she should care about the rogue, but he spoke to her, seemed to really get her.

To disappoint him like that, well, it was better that he thought she was crazy than for him to know the real reason. It was killing her to walk away, after meeting and being in the presence of such raw maleness. Jake was pretty much the physical embodiment of everything she though was sexy: powerful, calculating, sexy, eyes and lips that sin had a hand in creating, a body that made her drool, and a carefree look at life. He was everything she couldn't be, everything she reigned in because of her nature, and it called to her with neon lights. Jenai were lucky in being able to choose who they used their powers for; no carpets ruled their powers. Except for a few minor rules, like not using their powers for their own ends, Jenai had it the best out of the Wish races. Jake was the kinda guy she could choose, could make a very rich man indeed.

But, his insistence in her doing exactly what her powers dictated she not do was a little unnerving. It was like slipping down a flight of stairs on prom night. As a gambler's companion one had to be seen as good luck, but something as embarrassing as losing a large sum of money, something any great gambler didn't do, was akin to relationship suicide. Not that she ever thought to have a relationship with a gambler before, but Jake was different. Jake was meant for something better then the tables; he just didn't know it.

A relationship wasn't what she had in mind, anyway. Though any other Jenai would argue that Nina had wanted to belong to a gambler, else why would she be living and working in the biggest gabling town this side of Monte Carlo? No, no that wasn't it. I needed to get away from everything, she told herself as she reached the palms just before the bank of elevators they passed on the way in. Why else have I abstained from the casinos and fast talkers till now?

The answer was simple: because none of them had sought her out. This one had and he wasn't old and overweight. He wasn't really mean or callous, either. He found her and was intent on showing her a good time, Vegas style. No doubt any normal woman would have jumped at it. She sighed and shook her head as she realized that her freak out was not what other normal women would do, and she probably just blew her chances on what was probably the most sincere guy she had met since she moved there.

Fuck that; don't feel sorry for yourself, Nina!. If he were worth it he wouldn't still be sitting at the table, probably laughing at you. That thought brought her ire back to full strength. Serves her right for thinking a night out would be harmless to her ego or her person. It was when she felt the hand on her upper arm that she turned, ready to knock out whoever was unlucky enough to touch her.

Jake let her arm go, holding his empty hands up in defense. "Whoa there, Nelly! Don't just run out on me; it was just a game of cards. You don't have to do anything you don't want to."

"Then don't push me. If I say no I mean no," she said with a definite edge of anger in her voice. She was excited that he came after her, but she wasn't going to let him off easy. "Or is it that you don't hear the word no often enough?"

"Oh, I hear it often enough. Generally it doesn't apply to me though." He smiled jokingly. "I just have a problem understanding why anyone would be so against gambling. You're not one of those weird types, are you?"

"I have nothing against gambling, Jake. I just don't want to do it myself, okay? Can you respect that?"

"I guess I could. Do I get a reason?"

"I just don't want to. Take it as that," she said quietly. "Look, I ruined your evening, I'm sure. You didn't get in a playing groove, so I guess it wasn't like I lost you money due to concentration. I'm just going to go."

"You don't have to go. We can do something else. I'm just having a hard time figuring out why you wouldn't want to gamble. I mean, it wasn't like it was your money to lose. If somebody gave me a free pass at a casino, you wouldn't see me for dust. I just don't see what kind of enjoyment you can get from watching me play. As fine as I am, you might want your own bit of glory." He looked put out.

She was going to have to play it right if she was going to salvage anything of this evening, a thing she wished for desperately. "Haven't you ever seen James Bond? The women that sit and watch, behind their man, looking pretty and demure, distracting the competition?"

"I'm no Bond, Peaches, and this is real life."

"You could be Bond, and who's to say a woman sitting behind you wouldn't give you the edge? I mean, not to sound full of myself, but I'm not a wallflower."

"Call it a hunch," she said and winked. She touched his shoulder, and knew as she did that a little of the power governing her race slipped to him in the process. After sex with her, he'd own the tables, own anything he chose to do, but the touch was enough for the evening.

His hand snaked out and grabbed her waist, pulling her small frame towards him while keeping her hand on his shoulder. "And what if I'm done with cards for the night?"

She shuddered in his embrace and licked her lips. "Well, if that's true, your night just opened up. What else did you have in mind?"

"I have a pretty good idea, but it's a gamble of another kind."

His arm tightened around her, punctuating his intention. She couldn't ignore his insinuation or the way her body felt standing so close to him. "What kind of gamble?" she asked in a breathy whisper.

"I don't think it's one that you'd mind. It's the kind that would leave us both completely satisfied—if it paid off." He grinned, inching closer, and pressed his lips to hers.

Ok I LOVE this jacket. Its so completely me, and the kind of crazy style I love to wear. Isn’t it cute?

It’s totally one of the core pieces you NEED for your wardrobe. I’m a huge fan of odd clothing and the truth is I would wear this as a top with a cute skirt and knee high boots and make a cute costume out of it. And I love the fact that it’s black and just a little bit shiny. Its something you could wear to a concert or, if your like me, to a convention. And the buttons on the front? OMG So cute.

I think the bustle in the back is my favorite part though, cuz it give it the goth flair but also the steampunk and burlesque flair as well. So many possibilities for this piece my mind is awash with them. Since its so basic, you can dress it up with anything that will compliment the kinda look your going for. Wings, Keys, skulls.. the jewelry choices are endless. Im planning to wear my cute gear heart pin with it. And what’s cooler? The design was something submitted to the company. I love the design, and can’t wait to wear this. I have other clothes from this company, and I love them.
