a very productive day.

So we finished the first pass with Surrender in Moonlight, Reece and Carmen's story, at 27759 so far. it still needs bulking with discription and detail and we are figuring its going to end up around 30k, the longest of what we consider a short story, and second in the Snakes trilogy. We are really proud of this one, and i hope that if and when its published, youll like it as much as we do.

I started our Samba submission today, and boy are the characters in that story talking. in the last three hours I have written about 1,163 words and I know Audra is going to love picking up the slack on this one. Again, this one is really amusing, and i hope it will do well. the way this one is working out, well have this one done quickly, and waiting in the wings for submission.

And we have about 6k done on the dragon story that we picked up today again, and its slow going, but i think it will prove to be a good one as well. The question is where to send it when its done? I feel that its a good idea to send to different publishers, and since we have three under our belt already, we should send to another right? I would love to send it to EC, but the wait there is insane. So well see were it ends up.

Our Rune story for Cobblestone is on the back burner right now, the characters just arent talking. thank god we dont have a deadline for that one. and maybe we picked the wrong Rune, but time will tell.

Reece is not cooperating with working on the snake story, and that kinda blows. And the dragons are not dealing well either, Char is being very bitchy about talking. eh...

So we didnt get as much as we wanted to done in the past two weeks, but at least we got the interview in for pretty scary. so promo is good.

Frustration

the situation is growing tense, and i dont like feeling like this, especially about my work. with everything that was said recently, i had hoped that the situation was taken care of, but still, its tuesday and no edits. I dont know what to do.

truth? I wanna email and bitch people out, this is not cool, bordering on disrespectful, and is confirming my suspicions that we arent important there, and reinforcing the fact that we arent in any way priority, and at the best, an afterthought. Its not like the story is long, and it should have been taken care of before the other people that got contracted after us. this is neither fair not good for business. and i feel like maybe we shouldnt submit there anymore, especially if our work is going to be overlooked like it has been.

So i dont know what to do, and i dont know how to broach the subject either, aside from flying off the handle. this just really is rude now, and in all fairness we should ahve been taken care of first, and if we couldnt with our current assignment, then the assignment should have been changed. We all do have other things in our lives, work, college... the fact that we have been delayed so much is really disheartening.

We sold the Snake Series!

So Forbidden Publications is now the home of our Snake Shifter Series ! Try saying that 3 times fast! So we are delighted to be working with Rene Walden and all the other wonderful ladies on Forbidden. The company opens in May, and with what i have seen, your going to make it one of your top five pubs. The covers are awsome, the writers are brassy, wild and no holds barred, and the stories are erotic, sexy, and wonderful.

So that said heres a blurb of the first book in the series, Beyond the Vision of Dreams

Edits done for Wishes

Wishes is now done edit wise, i think... and it wasnt too bad. Im looking foward to seeing it in the Phaze store. *Sigh* So we havent heard back from forbidden yet, which i guess is cool... and Reece and Carmen are a bit over 17k right now and we are about half way with them i think. thats a great story and probably one we are the most proud of so far, other than the main work which we adore.

The trick is to get you guys to read snakes.

Char and Alcyone are up after we finish this story, and i think youll like our dragon elementals a bit too. We have two of the four stories started, so well see how it goes.I do love them...

so today is the mall for a bit, and hopefully transfering the website over to the new provider. wish me luck with that...

Progress....

So we have made progress on the second weresnake story. Im loving this... its been so much fun writing them, and i think the reason is there no frame of refrence with it. With wolves and cats (even though i detest wolves ill talk about it) You have to wrack your brain for stuff that hasnt been done yet thats not too far off them mark. With snakes, its all new and im really enjoying shaping their part of the Eververse. We are looking at three stoires for them, Three cousins by blood (though three different snakes)living in the upstate NY nest, the only three adult males left. Each has their own reasons for wanting or not wanting a mate, but rest assured, they all fall at Fates feet for the women they love.

I hope that people will put away their predjuices about snakes when they consider reading these stories, if not they are going to miss some very sweet and touching stories. Why is it that people accept Wolves and Cats so readily? Personally i find Snakes beyond facinating, and love writing about the nest in NY. Dont think scaly and icky. If you do your ignorant. Snakes are not icky, and they are smooth, actually warm and and not Scaly at all.

these snakes arent looking to get you.... then again most snakes arent. I just hope that we get a better look at this then what we have gotten so far in the future. Innovantion and keeping things fresh is what keeps the world revolving, and like your mother always said, how do you know you wont like it unless you try it?

wonder of wonders...

So it seems that we will be pretty finished with the Weresnake story by tuesday, and thats encluding all the awsome padding and the editing. So im psyched. We are going to be sending it to our publisher Cobblestone Press and hopefully they will like it enough to publish it. If not, well we can shop it around... no biggie...

Anyway, News on the Phaze front is that We got our Editor!!!! Kat is our editor and im super excited about it... i cant wait to get WISHES out! (Well it will make room for the two others in the wish races series..yay!)

And Promo Crystal has set up a chat for the Phaze surge authors as well. More on that was it develops (time and room) but its on April 19th, a Wensday, so mark your calendars! We will both be on hand to talk about our story and the ever delectable hero, Nicodemus Marsh.

So another thing thats come up recently is Interviews and i have no clue as to how to go about getting us interviewed... but i guess its something i better learn. Thank the saints for Crystal, shes really pushing for all the crazy shit none of us know about and leading us through by hand... shes so getting goodies when i see her...

i do love getting work done...

so as it is, we have 15k+ on the snake were story, its really going well. we have one chapter, and epilogue to do, then a shit load of bulking up... when we start stories like this, they do everything they can to get them out to us early (meaning the characters) and then after the gist of the story is down, they go back with us and fine tune it by adding a good portion of discription. this makes me happy. Audra and i have decided that we should possibly do another one, and odds are we will, but just sit on it till we need it.

We got our editor assignment for Cobblestone, and im extremely happy, we are just now waiting on edits... for both CP and for Phaze... so well see what we gotta do there.

our biggest question right now is where to send this story... and damn if the name isnt freakin awsome. Should we send it to CP? or maybe to forbidden? LSB? Loose ID? New Concepts? Lord knows.... Ill have to see about stuff.

Dragons on the Back burner, Snakes on the forfront...

Well Remy kinda knocked Char and Al out of the forfront... seems he wants to tell his story and hes not fucking around with it. We have gotten about 8k done in two days, no guff, hes just talkin and talking... and for those of you who dont know who the picutre is, Remy told me that he resembles Suly Erna from godsmack... and boy is the man yummy... So Remy Crane has my vote.

So the dragons are pushed back till we finish this one, or until remy looses steam, but i have a feeling the former will happen before the latter. Damn hes hot. So i just thought i would give an update...

Sexy right? Well hes out model for the first dragon in our Elementals series. His name is Char, and well, youll get to meet him soon enough. Hes a fire elemental, which is fitting given his personality.

So anyways, we still have yet to get our editor assignments from either of our publishers, and im really hoping we dont get them both at once.

Our promo ideas are in full swing, and i think anyone going to Nationals and the NJRWA confrence in october, and of course, any thing else i decide to get out to, will be plesently surprised. I just love giving out free stuff, and while this kinda stuff is different from the work i used to do in promotions (actually promoting a book and a band are relative) im still getting the hang of OL promotions. Well see how well we do with that...

Well thats our cover for WISHES. Cool right? i thought so. So we are just waiting for our editor assignment (for both Phaze and for Cobblestone press) and well be set.

We re submitted the original body of work to Phaze after we paired it down. its still over 85k, but i think cutting over 11k from it was quite astonishing. And today i learned all about promo items i never thought about... so well have some sweet goodie bags at nationals. its all going well...

oh yeah... I did a new site today here and its all about the series and the books... theres links on the author site to it. and did i mention we have a CHATROOM on it? Yippee! so all the character chats will be on there. so i was busy today.. hella busy!

Well, since the inception of the Residents of the Eververse Community Forum, the guys have decided that we should take back control of the blog and they can play there. So if your intrested, they answer all their questons on the Forum now, as well as bitch and complain. So thats a good thing. we got the blog back...

So let's see... We got picked up by Cobblestone Press for our Story Bargain by Starlight, and PHAZE for our Surge submission, Wishes. needless to say we are estatic about it all and cant wait to get down and dirty promoting.... which will be soon enough on my end..

So what have WE, meaning Audra and I, been doing? Writing.. and a lot of it... We started full force our Dragon series, and as long as Char quits being stubborn, story one should be completely finished in a week or so... which is good... im a big fan of progress.

We finished the Ifrit sotry and are going over it to send out to PHAZE (its part of the trilogy of stories about our genies) and it looks pretty good... I think you guys will like Sinclair... I do...

OOH and i finally got my hair cut a way i like... so Kudos for my new Hairdresser Naomi...

And Audra is making her pans for this summer... and im so excited to see her...

Marsh walked into the lavish living room and saw the beauty pouring herself a drink from the brandy decanter. It was true that he had been sent in to meet her, but god if she wasn’t fine as hell. Cash said to watch her, do anything to gain her trust, and Marsh fully intended on doing just that.

Hello all you lucky people!

I never thought any one of my stories would be published first, but here it is at Pretty/Scary, The Sleeping. *surpresses a giggle* Sorry but Remembering that night always makes me giggle. Drake, ooh lord what can i say about him that night? He was in in demonic twenties, and i was a bit older than him, and i think personally had that Mrs. Robinson complex going on, lord knows The Freshman wasnt even a thought in its creators mind when this went on.

So, Im Alabaster, second Princess of the Succubus house. people tell me i look like Penelope Cruz, but i say she looks like me. I mean, im much much older than she ever will be. How old you ask? Dont bother, a lady dosent reveal her age, especially when she looks like shes in her thirties.

I should say thought that that was the only encounter Drake and i had, soon after i met Sallos, and well, i never looked back. The Sleeping.. and a change of gears...

So we have been asked to join with Pretty/Scary in their Fiction endevor, and came up with the story called The Sleeping. Its about Drake and Alabaster, and sicne its tecnically our first published work, we decided that we were going to do something a little different. how cool?

So yesterday we got told that Eververse, got some press on the Pretty/Scary website.

For those of you who dont know, Pretty Scary is a horror website made by women about women. They have a horror and paranormal romance area and they do reviews and what not.

Well they are super cool, and we love the site, and they did a blurb about us on it. Im SO excited about this, the books arent even out yet and we have some really positive press. Its super amazing. Now all we need is the book series to get picked up... and my fingers are still crossed...

apparently some people just dont get it. We are the bad guys. we are just slightly less bad then others.

So I have a gripe about a rejection we got yesterday. We were told that our "Heros" werent really heros but Badguys. Duh. Now im sorry but im seriously tired of reading about the "Good" guy thats all sweetness and light, who never had a parking ticket in their life, let alone persued a career in B and E.

Our heros are the Anit hero. They are the guys that are good, and mean well, but circumstance has dealt them a shitty hand. They are the guys that dont put themselves off as the good guy to the world. They are taboo, forbidden, the kinda guy you fantasize about taking you and ravishing you just because they want to. They Love their women, and family, and do whats right for them, but that dosent mean they are upstanding citizens. We have Thieves, hitmen, pimps, Spell dealers, a Fence or two, enforcers, Kings, Princes... and lest we all forget, they are Demons... Since when are demons all sweetness and light?

I think that its unfair to judge them on the fact that they arent the perverbial heros, that they have questionable morals and even more questionable jobs. Youll see further down the line, our resident pimp, well hes not what he seems. Yes, hes in the flesh trade, but hes very good to his girls. and, ever thing its not something he really wants to do?

So thats my gripe about our characters. Im still stewing about it... and apparently, they really just didnt get it, and enough people have gotten it... and like the refreshing change of pace. We are diffrent, and our books are diffrent. I dont think anyone has really attemped this before, fom what i have seen, but im hoping we get the chance.
